Used NVIDIA A100 80GB: Price, Listings & Specs | BreezeWish
The NVIDIA A100 80GB is the Ampere data center GPU with 80 GB of HBM2e. NVIDIA's datasheet lists two packages. The SXM4 module is specified at 2,039 GB/s of memory bandwidth and 400 W. The PCIe card is specified at 1,935 GB/s and 300 W. The SXM4 module uses third-generation NVLink; PCIe cards can pair over an NVLink bridge. Typical systems are HGX A100 baseboards and the DGX A100 [S1]. The A100 family was introduced in 2020 [S3]. Sellers list these modules and boards for sale, and the price on a listing is the seller's.
This page is only the 80 GB part. The 40 GB A100 is a separate page because the memory size changes both the hardware and the bids. A listing that says "A100" without 40 or 80, and without a memory field, is not matched here. Say the memory in the model name or in the memory field so buyers can find the lot.
Used A100 80GB hardware shows up as loose SXM4 modules, PCIe cards, HGX boards, and whole servers. The SXM4 module does not fit a PCIe riser. An HGX A100 board expects a matched set of modules. Buyers of inference servers sometimes prefer the PCIe card because the chassis is ordinary. Buyers of training pods usually want the SXM board with NVLink intact.

Buying checklist
- SXM versus PCIe, and whether the baseboard or NVLink bridge is in the lot.
- Part numbers on the module and the board.
- Serials, and a seller-provided nvidia-smi or DCGM report.
- Warranty terms the seller will actually sign.
- Lien and title documents from the seller.
- Export and end use. Buyers are US businesses.
- Who ships, and who insures the freight.
- Payment. Independent escrow services are the parties' choice.
Ask the seller to state SXM4 or PCIe, and to show 80 GB on a seller-provided nvidia-smi or DCGM report. Mislabeled or relabeled modules exist; the report and the part number are how you tell them apart. Ask whether the HGX board, the NVSwitch, and the bridge are in the lot or only the GPUs.
Selling notes
Put "80GB" in the model text and set memory to 80. Set the form factor to SXM4 or PCIe. A mixed lot of 40 GB and 80 GB modules should be split, because buyers filter on memory. Completeness of the baseboard and the condition grade move the price. Warranty months are whatever the seller is offering, described in the listing.
FAQ
Who am I buying from?
You are buying from the seller who posted the listing. BreezeWish is a venue only. The contract, payment, title, and shipping are between the buyer and the seller. BreezeWish never holds funds or hardware. Listing details, condition, and warranty are as the seller stated them.
How do I tell 80 GB from 40 GB?
Use the memory field and a seller-provided test report. NVIDIA's datasheet separates the 40 GB HBM2 parts from the 80 GB HBM2e parts, with different bandwidth figures [S1]. This page does not match a 40 GB line.
Does an A100 PCIe card work in any server?
It needs a chassis with the power, airflow, and PCIe generation the card expects. Ask the seller for the power figure they used and for the server it came out of. The datasheet lists 300 W for the 80 GB PCIe card [S1].
Are there export limits?
Yes. Treat the card as export-controlled under ECCN 3A090, and keep the buyer a US business for deals on this market. This is not legal advice. Consult counsel [S2].
Where is the price index?
It appears after five verified completed deals for the A100 80GB on BreezeWish. Until then the page says how many deals are in so far, and it does not fill the gap with an outside estimate.
