    EPCM

EPCM is engineering, procurement, and construction management. The owner holds the equipment contracts. The contractor manages engineering, procurement, and construction. The owner publishes that split on the RFP so a bidder can see what they manage and what the owner buys.

The owner keeps the equipment contracts, so those purchases stay with the owner. The contractor is responsible for managing engineering, procurement, and construction inside the published scope. Exclusions stay with the party the RFP names. The contract model on the form for this pattern is EPCM.

Typical deliverables are the engineering package, a procurement plan for equipment the owner will buy, construction management, and progress through the target commercial operation date. Inclusions and exclusions name the work. The form's example inclusion is engineering, and its example exclusion is land.

An owner chooses EPCM when they want to hold the equipment contracts and hire a firm to manage engineering, procurement, and construction. The award, the contract, and the deal stay separate records. Equipment for the plant is sourced in Modular power equipment.
